Hi I am Sameer .... I live in india. , I have been having tinnitus for the past 26 months and it is only getting worse with time ....I am not sure how I got it or what triggered it off ...but now I understand that it could be hearing loss. It did not reflect earlier but now my audio gram shows a high frequency hearing loss in the 12 k region. And a bit in the 8 k as we'll .... I am single and in my early forties and I love partying and have continued to do so even with my tinnitus for two whole years. ...but now I think I have to stop as my tinnitus has grown really loud ... I can hear it constantly at a high pitch every where. , It forces me to notice it ... It's really loud. ....I wonder how some people say they don't notice their tinnitus at times or can hear it only in silence , mine is loud and on always ....tinnitus has really changed my normal life ..my social life is in the dumps , can't go for any parties as wherever u go they have loud music and alcohol , can't go for movies or to the gym ... Tried to maintain my normal life style for the fist two years by making use of ear plugs but now I realize I am getting hearing loss even by using them. ...I just came by this site and am really exited as I have many questions unanswered and would like to share my experiences and practices with others. .. Right here in my town I feel a total outcast and fully alienated as people here haven't even heard about what tinnitus is leave aside empathising with what I am going through ...I am tired of explaining to people what I am going through and why I have suddenly dropped out from social agendas and the cause of my depression ... If I can only continue my social life style and partying without aggravating my tinnitus further ,I think I will be able to conquer my depression and learn to live with the tinnitus ...
