Nighttime is the worst. Mine can be forgotten or masked during the day at work and if there are other noises. The worst is when I obsess about it it seems to increase to just f with me.

I experience this too. It's crazy circle! I cant sleep because of it and due to that it gets louder the next night!

Good to hear it wasn't an issue. I've done the "doors off" helicopter tour of Kauai, unbelievably beautiful. lived on Maui for 7years and Oahu for one. I believe being a dive master and underwater videographer, exacerbated my tinnitus, btw. Not sure if science can back that up, but equalizing...
