I spent 6 years in the USN as an nuclear engineer mechanic. Super loud engineering space with 70s technology ear useless protection.
Had tinnitus since 1980s, yet when hearing gradual deminished tone 6khz became unbearable. Tone causes panic attacks and acid reflux. Now 8 years later unbearable at times, loosing two days every ten where I am totally disfunctional.
