WendyT

Hello. Is there anybody out there?
My name is Wendy and I suffer from Tinnitus, more specifically Meniere's Disease - or at least that was the diagnosis in 2017. I initially tried the low-sodium diet but with not results. Looking back maybe I didn't stay on it long enough. In 2021 the symptoms were nearly debilitating so I saw a FOURTH ENT who has been around FOREVER. He has put me on a low sodium diet AND 250mg Niacin 2x day. I have been doing this for 2+ weeks. There might a slight improvement but the symptoms seem to wane with disease so it's hard to tell if it's the normal course of things or the diet + niacin. I'm wondering who else is out there and what else has been tried and succeeded or failed. Also, I read an article that said PPI's (proton pump inhibitors) could possibly be the culprit of tinnitus but this may just be false information. Any discussion would be of great value. Thank you in advance y'all.
