Ish. 30-40db in my bedroom. Unfortunately I live in a very noisy building in the middle of tourist hell. I did get a white noise machine when I unplugged.
"Do you sleep in a loud environment?"
If one's home is quiet, it makes it more likely that one wakes up if a car drives by in the middle of the night, or if a neighbour starts up his/her car in the morning.
Mmm yes! When I was sleeping without plugs, it was very frustrating to hear neighbours. My building has 21 apartments, 11 of which are AirBNB. There are drunk people coming home in the small hours, as well as people getting up for flights and work a bit later. I can also hear cars from the street. No plugs was very tough. I don't think I could go back to not sleeping with plugs unless I moved somewhere very quiet.
I've seen a few people mention this recently. I would find it torture having nothing to listen to but the cacophony in my ears all night - there's no way I would be able to sleep.
I get that. I think this will vary greatly from person to person and tinnitus to tinnitus. I couldn't wear plugs initially for this reason. We need a cure for this damned thing already.
