Friends are going to an all-day indoor metal festival. Miss them, but not a snowball's chance in hell I'd go! I've warned them about T. Jun 8, 2019

He’s not on here as much anymore, but I chatted to him this week. He’s still improving, except for some bad moments. His T is a sort of white noise nowadays. He’s getting Neuromod, but his T got to such an improvement that he could wait till Neuromod was available more close to home.

Your friends are buying tickets to a lottery that has a lifetime of torture as the main prize. Chances for the main prize are relatively low. Some might collect the collateral damage later in life.

I never heard about 'T' until I got it. Not sure people realise the severity of 'T' you can only warn them. on a selfish note the more the merrier it appears through the years research has stepped up for hearing problems. Lets hope they find an effective treatment

Tones are stable today. Angry thinking of how patronising my ENT was 6 months ago about habituation when it was an undulating alarm sound.

Before internet and didn't know to ask questions I went to an ENT that didn't even warm me about noise exposure I called him on it ask for my medical records he refused then I threaten to go to the state he sent me copies (back than it was a paper trail) He doctored the medical records warn to loud noise.

They use tools such as a curette to scrape the wax out. Go to images.google.com and search for "curette ear tool"

Gonna see if the spike goes down, which hopefully it will as it's only been a couple of weeks. If not, I suppose I'll have to go back on it. Some do say that Mirtazapine actually suppresses Tinnitus, so it may have been making it quieter all this time. No rush for you to come off it though if you're doing well with it - it is great for anxiety.

Yes, when I went on I did read a case study where a guy was on, reported a lowering in tinnitus, then tapered off, reported an increase and now is on it for life, basically.

I don't know that I want to be on an antidepressant for life, but it's a single pill I take 1 hour before going to bed. It's not like an insulin shot or anything like that.

        1. Radical lifestyle change. Used to hammer my ears with music at the gym, concerts and clubs. No more.
        2. Plugging up in loud environments I can't or won't avoid like the gym.
        3. Just giving my brain time to adjust to the new, lower sensory input. I think a sudden shift due to noise trauma was the cause of my T. I think my brain is getting used to it.
