    I ask myself this all the time. I think lower but louder. High pitch is harder for me to ignore.

    For me, the sub-bass rhytmic sounds are way way worse than high-pitched regardless of volume

    I've got a case of the former with one of my tones but I'm not sure if this is better. Feels like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

    Definitely lower pitch, higher volume. Lower volume tinnitus that is high pitch is easy to mask and usually gets masked in ambient noise, from my experience.
