It's still _your_ life. Unique even with tinnitus. But I understand what you mean. We will probably not experience "lightheartedness" anymore. The nightmare of tinnitus always behind the corner. But I am sure we will find a balance, a tradeoff. I am still struggling myself, but I try to stay positive. People with tinnitus are the strongest, no doubt anymore.
You are doing very well. Your life will go back to normal if a cure is found. It's fake negative thoughts from your reactions & trauma. Your battle is real. Patience and hope we get an actual treatment or cure.
Me too. Even if a cure is found somewhere in the future, nobody can give back these years wasted to tinnitus. I will always have PTSD from this nightmare.
Thank you guys. I really appreciate the positivity from fellow members as we suffer through this together. This condition really is a neverending nightmare, but knowing there are others out there who are toughing it out is probably the best encouragement. Thank you.
@arcanesystem We are not trying to be tough. The reality is no human is tough. We all get hurt we all make mistakes. I think we will have a cure in our lifetime.
We need to force ourselves to be positive (at least until a treatment is found, that I truly hope will happen sooner than later). It's funny because I have always been the negative dude that everybody avoids; I read Cioran and Zapffe throughout my whole youth... and now I am forcing myself to be positive lol :)))
