This article is 5 years old, and I have yet to hear anything about succesful eye transplant, so I guess it failed, buy yes it would be glorious times if we could transplant eyes and ears......some day I guess......unless we go extinct before that.

did you hear about the mysterious devices Brian Johnson now has installed in him? He signed NDA unfortunately. But all of a sudden he can tour again and hear guitar tones he hadn't in years

@TheDanishGirl , I looked further. She (the surgeon trying to pioneer this) is now saying 10-20 years (from 2017) but she's heading a national multi-disciplinary program to do this.

@Tweedleman , it's apparently a new kind of in-ear monitor that combines a hearing aid with a monitor for musicians.
