It's only forever because science hasn't caught up yet - and right now it's catching up in a way that may at least offer significant relief

@ASilverLight is right. The science is going to emerge with time, and be it through FX-322 or whatever else, we're all going to be okay.

Maybe... it's hard to look on the bright side sometimes that's for sure.

Absolutely. It's something I'm struggling with at the moment. Hoping for progress without seeing any is hard to live with..

A lot of people who say their tinnitus has "gone away" will not have it actually gone. Hard to believe it will just go away. Like is there any truth to that? "It can just go away." Idk maybe.

I think it's entirely dependent on the route cause. With noise trauma it isn't likely, but things like infections have a better chance at full recovery.
Mine isn't noise-induced and it's nearly fully recovered.

Many people have had their tinnitus actually go away. Does depend on the cause, but even then stranger things have happened. Just think people who had tinnitus due to earwax blockage. It is possible if we can treat the root cause — and that's the issue. We can't (yet).

@ASilverLight Unfortunately, I don't even know what the issue is and when this exactly began. I only noticed this on July 12 of last year. All I know is that I experience pain on my right side near and around my ear and neck. Also, this visual snow syndrome I'm experiencing doesn't give me hope that this can go away at all.

@ASilverLight I feel like a lot more people have a lot more to be hopeful for then I do. I'm tackling several problems here. Maybe I'll get lucky. Maybe I can be happy. It's tough. I did definitely improve but I don't know if that will continue.

I have VSS too and reactive tinnitus. I have a lot of issues too and still don't know the exact cause. But this hope is the only thing getting me through each day
