    I have a Peltor X5A. I'm not sure about flying, but for chores it's pretty good. Only downside that it's very bulky and looks horrible. I also have a Peltor Optime II, it looks more like a headphone (but bigger), so when my ears are fed up with earplugs, I use them for walks, shopping and so on, and this one is foldable, takes up lot less room in my bag, so I carry them pretty much everywhere.

    Hi guys, I bought the x5a peltors and the noise cancelling is great but they are too tight? I thought I bought the wrong size but apparently that's the standard. They really hurt and I'm desperate to take them off, is that normal?

    Used to be tight and uncomfortable for me too, but it gradually got better as I kept wearing them.
