@Vassili mate, I used to bolt down any side road I could find as fast as I could, and then hold my ears as tight as possible until it passed.

Pretty sure I could have rivalled Yohan Blake, or at least Christophe Lemaitre on those sprints.

Also pretty sure everyone assumed I had just robbed someone each time it happened, because I'd have my hood up (for extra sound absorption) and be running like I had just stabbed someone.

Luckily a totally ordinary sight in London, so no one ever called the police on me (would have been another f*cking siren then!).
