Be very careful around loud noises when your on doxycycline. Could you not take a more ear friendly antibiotic? Amoxicillin?

I wanted to say the same thing. Doxycycline gave me my tinnitus. Tinnitus is listed in the top 10 side effects of Doxy. I’ve taken Amoxicillin a few times since T, and it’s always been fine. As @makeyourownluck said, Amoxi is generally regarded as safe for ears.

Thanks guys, I think I'll be okay. The infection sort of gave me tinnitus in my left ear and I haven't felt or heard a difference in my ears just yet but I am almost finished with the course. luckily the infection has cleared.

@makeyourownluck actually I’m slightly hesitant about amoxicillin because my sister had a horrible reaction to it. But I think it’ll be fine tbh
