Hello! Ty for asking but I got worse. Stress is gonna end me soon. I had an amazing week with my ex visiting. I was able to watch some TV with audio, go out once to a quiet park, ate meals, etc...nothing made it worse. Then he left and 2 days later the isolation took hold and was in full panic...ears got totally wrecked. Louder tones and lost my sound tolerance. Life sucks and Im very tired.

I go through cycles where I go out and surround myself in the world and its sounds, and my tinnitus begins to feel much better. Then after several days of feeling great it spikes, and I'm back to square one and isolate. Then the cycle repeats.

@kingsfan I believe this means your are somewhat healing - very slowly, in cycles. Repeating cycles is very common with this condition when trying to gradually surround ourselves with normal, everyday sounds again. You will get there, it just takes a lot of time, tears, grief and effort.

Bottom line; Think of your cycles as a good thing.

@kingsfan I'm sort of opposite, when a get a day off (or 2!!) I feel like my old self (only more deaf in one ear) but without T & I go and do!!also after 2 yrs of Much isolation im going out some. It's a challenge to overcome the loud hipitched scream in one ear while trying to 'be present' with the other ear. But when it's spiking at a 9 I just have to isolate.

Your T shuts off completely for the day or 2? Thats great if so. How long has it been doing that? You have in just one ear correct?
