  • Hi. Yeah, if it's been 2 weeks and you can (now) only hear your tinnitus in a quiet room, there's a very good chance of it disappearing completely. But you'll have to be careful to avoid noise traumas for a while.

    No, I would absolutely avoid any more steroids at this point, if I were you.

    You currently have it down to what you are describing as a 1/10 in severity. This you should count as a blessing.

    I can tell you, there are numerous people on this forum (like myself) who have been living with a full blown fire alarm in one or both ears, for well over a decade now.

    A lot of them would give both legs (and probably more, thinking about it), to experience what you're experiencing.

    Like I said, if it's been less than 6 months (a period way ahead of you) it has an extremely high probability of improving.

    An improvement on what is currently a 1/10 on the Richter scale? Well, you do the maths on that. But basically, I wouldn't bet against full dissipation in your case.
