Have a search through some of the threads and see if any others have had a reaction.

I've only ever taken amoxicillin antibiotics and thry have had no effect on my T.

Maybe amoxicillin will be your best bet :)

@Sammy0225 thank you friend, always praying for my T warriors. Been fighting this upper throat sinus thing off and on for almost 4 weeks now. Tried natural things to rid it but had to call in the meds. Ears, and I, are sick of the up and down with it.

Had an ear infection in start of this year and had amoxicillin. It did not affect T at all so you should be fine with that!

I've never been on doxycycline, but I had to take amoxicillin three times since tinnitus onset and never got any side effects :)

@Sammy0225 I know the depression feeling all too well. I am so sorry you’re struggling. I had a decent day two days ago, then this infection came on again and also I get very low/depressed with my cycle since T came on, so struggling the past two days. I hate what this has done to us.

@ErikaS I'm so sorry Erika you don't deserve this. Your a wonderful individual it seems we are the unlucky few. most make significant progress in 2-5yrs from onset. The thing is we shouldn't have to put our life on hold that long. Still baffled how horrible this condition is

@Sammy0225 literally just need the reactivity to go away. Although annoying, I could quickly learn to deal with my baseline multi-tone if it stayed stable and didn’t react to constant sounds. The reactivity is what keeps me debilitated and terrified.

@Sammy0225 and @ErikaS sorry to hear you are both struggling lately. Hopefully it'll be a temporary blip and you will both be back on track soon and ready for a new day :)

@Strawberryblonde ty for the kind words I hope so too :'(

@ErikaS I agree the reactivity Is definitely the worst of the ladder. I purchased a hearing device that is suppose to be a "calmer" has good reviews from people dealing with H I'll let you know if it changes anything

@ErikaS i try too keep a positive mindset but im not always so positive lol i just try to be more now especially the way the T acts up!! :)

@Sammy0225 my T has been reactive lately without any rhyme or reason. sleeping without masking seems to be helping. Its damn hard and mentally taxing but im trying to not let it scare me and fade it out with my mind. My mum and Bf can do it, so im trying too.

@ErikaS They supposably don't block out all sound just enough to calm everything down I'll let you know if they help the reactivity (:

@Strawberryblonde it definitely is taxing but with practice it's possible. I unfortunately have never been able to mask my Tinnitus up until recently I slept for about 7 months with no masking my brain eventually got use to it at some point.
