Mine did this a lot for the first year and then became less frequent.

Mine felt the same at times, oddly enough I started to put ice on it when it occured and it somehow brought some relief to the burning and inflamed sensation.

Does your T only stay in one ear or does it go in and out of both ears / head at all?

@ErikaS honestly, I don't even know! I think it's only my left and then sometimes I feel like I can hear it in my right! If it's in my right, it's a lower volume. Yes, it goes into my head but that seems to finally have calmed down some.
