I don't hear mine with an ambient noise of a switch buzzing or when I'm standing in the lobby at work with traffic sounds in the distnace but then sometimes I can hear it with the tv on a moderate level and louder than an ambient noise, very weird :)
Yes. My theory is that the acoustic properties of a space can induce resonant effects on the auditory system, *likely* through variance in the Eustachian tubes. i.e. ETD (perhaps mild) may play a role in the phenomena.
I find that rooms; I think due to the sharp geometric edges, reflect sound waves in a very unnatural manner which can aggrevate my reactive T more than being outside where all the acoustic reflections are from natural curves.
When I go into my husbands office which is basically a 3 seasons room that we turned into an enclosed area (way less insulation than all other rooms) it’s like my ears turn down and T is more manageable. I also felt/heard this affect in Cancun in our hotel room.
@Jupiterman TV spikes my high electric tone(s) and music and phone aggravate all tones some, but I can handle music and phone much more than TV.
