@Hardwell Man I completely agree lol. There is no more of this looking forward to the weekend mentality. Every single day is just another day trying to survive with T.
@gameover I don’t have any kids at the moment to disturb my silence.
@Ryan Scott it definitely sucks, you put any more thought into getting back to fishing? I’m not going to chance salt water and a boat yet but I am going to try a bit of course fishing soon
Honestly, decided to have a few drinks and listen to music. I know alcohol now spikes my T but it’s been spiked anyways. I’m kinda in a screw it mentality at the moment. Just trying to destress.
@Ryan Scott so far so good, got a lot done today and hung out with my babies, but I'm now at home instead of out and about with a debilitating headache, neck and jaw pain on top of the ringing. ;(
@Hardwell No man I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'll never be able to fish again, just too much of a risk. I'm hoping I can get to do maybe a little bow hunting again. I think its important to have hobbies. I use to like playing golf but that definitely out of the question now.
@SamRosemary I haven't had any drinks in 6 months, but I see where you are coming from. That's the aggrevating thing about T it just stops you from doing so much. Hard to find a way to realive stress when you can't do anything.
I wouldn’t be so sure pal, can you describe your T and cause? I’m pretty sure you’re early on. I had the exact same thoughts you did when I first got T 8 years ago. Took me a year to gain my confidence back and in those 8 years with T I’ve been on my boat many of times, Bars and nightclubs, football games, work construction, pretty much did everything but concerts as I deemed that too much of a risk
I am now going through a spike/worsening that may or may not been noise induce so I’m not advising you do all those things. Did all of that without hearing protection I might add. In hindsight it’s not the wisest idea and I won’t make those mistakes again
@Hardwell Mine was caused by acoustic trauma, someone shot a shotgun on the side of me before I could put on hearing protection. This condition has just been so traumatic even if my tinnitus calms down I will live so cautiously. I'm fine with giving up 90% of my hobbies just to be able and enjoy a cup of coffee outside in silence again lol.
@Ryan Scott theres no good way to get tinnitus. But it does seem the one off acoustic traumas line gunshots have pretty decent outlooks. I’m confident this time next year you’ll be in a much better place and you will be on that boat (hearing protection)
