He was probably bribed to say that it's a hail Mary and a cure for tinnitus. I don't think Lenire will last very long, as it, you know, doesn't f*cking work lol

So who else's tinnitus is quiet when they first wake up for like say 15 minutes? I wonder what's the theory behind this.

I know this too … When I woke up in the middle of the night it could be that there is no Tinnitus … when I wake up it s quiet but then increasing … I agree with @ZFire

Mine used to be quiet when I first woke up. Sometimes I’d even lay there and try not to move as long as I could to keep the silence, but now it’s super loud when I wake up.

Mine varies each day, so sometimes I wake up and it goes from quiet to loud in seconds. Sometimes it's loud out the gate and stays that way. Sometimes it's loud and then gets quieter in a few minutes. Sometimes it's quiet and stays quiet. The good(?) news is that I've detected a somewhat regular pattern to it all

Has anyone else gotten custom molded ear plugs? I am thinking about get some westone defend max plugs.

@Ryan Scott - I did, but personally I got a spike from the moulding. Audiologist said it may have reaggrivated my TTTS. I have only heard of one other who got a spike through moulding (theirs settled). Just to forewarn.
Havent tried the ear plugs Ive now received as a result.

@DeanD Yeah I was reading your profile and seen how you got a spike from the molding process is what has been making me second guess getting them. Thats why I was kind of wondering if some people had the same experience as you. Seems pretty unlikely to me because the process is not loud and the molding shouldn't press against the ear drum. But I really don't want to take any chances and have any setbacks.

@Ryan Scott tbh everything Im getting at the moment seems to be rare.
My t was caused by microsuction in the ear canal, it may be my ear canal now is sensitive so although there was hardly any noise of the moulding it triggered the original cause and perhaps sensitivity not present in most cases.

I didn't take time off from my career after tinnitus, but did go to lower pay, lower stress jobs. It's more important to keep stress down in my life and keep things light. Everything changed in my life after tinnitus.

Totally understand where you are coming from, my job does not really stress me out too much, but tinnitus has totally changed my view on life. Like I use to be interested in real estate, I worked in construction through college, but not real sure I want to be around power tools now.

"The best thing about this community is that people actually understand what you are going through. Much unlike the general public"

Amen to that. It's just not on other people's radar, even in most of the medical field. My focus is living a full and active life, but jettisoning anything that makes my tinnitus worse. It comes first because it has to.

I find Tinnitus extremely unrelatable to the public compared to other disorders I guess mainly due to how abstract it is. Tinnitus is kind of like chemistry you can't normally see the reactions happening, but they indeed are lol.

I agree now before I do anything it forces me to do a risk analysis of "how this will affect my tinnitus." Personally, I would rather skip the activity and not take the risk especially being I am young.

Being a lone worker helps as I can control the sounds I'm exposed too and I suffer with bad anxiety/ocd so keeping myself occupied and mind off my new T level helped a a lot as I don't hear it when I'm occupied @Jupiterman

When I go walking along a windy coast large peltor mufflers along with air plugs are usually suitabke enough, and I have sound reactive tinnitus
