I experimented a great deal with masking in my first 2 years when I was suicidal and struggling like crazy on a daily basis. My consensus is that it mostly makes things worse, on average. I only mask now when I absolutely have to.

I understand that it can... but I dont know that for sure, I read it can cause a rebound that might even be louder. Likely will go away
