Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
@streifzug I am sorry man..
I don't really know if I have the strength to continue studying. Tbh now that everything is gone, I don't really have something to live for left. All hobbies and leisure activities are gone and even if I get better, those will still be off limits for the rest of my life.
Hey Kiyomi. I also have reactive distortions, developed them right at onset. I had a very difficult time with it and listening to sounds was hard, but it does heal, just very slowly. I'm 2 years in and I can listen to music and the TV and whatnot much better than I used to.
@TheCapybara I don't really have distortions/dysacusis anymore. It's just reactive T that reacts to every static sound (car, white noise, shower, bedsheets etc.) and digital audio. So I would like to use sound enrichment but it gets really bad after 5 minutes.
I'm also very scared to listen to music because the last time it sounded horrible. :(
@Kiyomi This is what I deal with. I feel like it's related to some kind of nerve damage. I can't really be around cars, crowds, fans, or heating systems. It's very isolating, I understand. I've basically given up 75% of my life.
