Hey! Sarah mine sounds like an old 90s tv set chanel with white noise, and some bads days it sounds like a high pitches whistle, i have had it for 2 months, unknow cause...randomly one day i woke up with it.
doctors says it could be ETD, Hear Loss, im trying not find the cause, im trying to keep optimistic and find relief :)

btw I think julian cowan hill does skype sessions so I think you could reach if in mexico if you wanted to

Yes!, but its kinda expensive, i mean its totally worth it i guess, but im getting the actual hands on therapy with a good therapist here too (kinda expensive too)
