Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
How do you think you "feel" it? How loud do you put it? I've tried measuring it and it's about 45 to 55 dB max. Mostly it's less than 50. (Hallo vanuit België btw )
Because the volume sounds the same as headphones, and because it is close to the ear. Is it damaging to have 50 db playing all night? Doesn't our ears need a break from noise all the time?
As far as I know it's safe to have less than 70 dB constantly. But since I've read a few headphone horror stories I am not sure anymore.
Also my other ear is next to a fan which is about 45 dB constantly.
I have exactly the same worry. I bought pillow speakers but havent used them because I am afraid they will make it worse. It bothers me that I cant use them because they help me much more then sound enrichment on my bedstand.
I am glad I've had them, or else I wouldn't be able to function as I did. But maybe I just need to be able to learn to listen to the T.. instead of masking it.
