I experience more tinnitus when stressed, frustrated or angry. I try to calm down myself all the time. But trying to relax with all the noises inside is a tough thing.

How are you doing right now?

Good to hear you started NAC and Carnitine. Wish I had that knowledge during my acoustic trauma. 30 days is not long, you still have much time (2-3 years) for a good recovery or at least habituation. Take care and never lose hope.

I feel the same. Hearing loss AND tinnitus is double trouble. How long is it since your acoustic trauma?

The severe cases need a lot more time to recover. Of course people with light/moderate tinnitus will recover quickly.

If your hearing is good, tinnitus will usually not be a big problem, you will get used to it. With hearing loss however, tinnitus can be a torture. You hear less and tinnitus gets worse. How many people with hearing loss have experienced hearing getting better with time?

Can hearing damage still restore after several months? I read a lot of stories about tinnitus disappearing after 1-3 years. But does that also apply to tinnitus due to hearing damage (loss)?
