I’d say it’s safe, but make sure to take frequent breaks—a lot of breaks. And keep the volume very low. I personally use 4% volume on Windows. The longer you listen, the higher the risk, so avoid any 10+ hour binges like I, unfortunately, have done.

I feel the same way; it’s truly debilitating. One minute, I’m not thinking about it, and the next, it flares up because I make some mistake that leads to loud noise, like going to the dentist. Life is full of loud noises, and it’s certainly not fair that there isn’t a cure. :(

Thanks but it's actually better now. It could've been a cold symptom or something, but my hearing is back to semi normal now, at least nothing really sounds so out of tune or distorted anymore. So that's good. Going to still be careful of course.

I'm thinking a long car ride on the highway because I didn't wear earplugs. I've never worn earplugs in the car anyway so I didn't think it was a big deal. I have a hard time believing it was just that but maybe it was. I don't know. All I know is that this sucks. :(

Same. My luck is awful. I've had tinnitus for a year now, I was doing well these few months and forgot I even had it, then a spike and setback happened two days ago in my left ear. And now I have fullness as well. It sucks! :( I seriously hope it can get much better for all of us at some point...
