I remember reading this thread a couple of years ago, but I had never tried Curcumin, a bioavailable form of Turmeric.
I now take Integrative Therapeutics Theracurmin HP and like it a lot.
Hotels are built a certain way where I don’t hear my tinnitus staying in a hotel (in the same geographic location as where I live).
Otherwise yes, geographic location makes a difference in my tinnitus.
Acupuncture is so helpful. I wish I had found it earlier.
It just takes the anxiety and edge off. I find myself reacting less to tinnitus and just living my life.
I took Tramadol once. Half a tablet.
It quieted my tinnitus while I was on it, but 2 days after stopping it my tinnitus spiked to a higher pitched noise.
I personally would not take Tramadol again.
I don't wear them for long, because I find it makes my ears itchy.
I also worry about losing them if I wear them outside.
The white noise technology they have is quite subtle and sophisticated. So you'd have try it out to experience it first hand.
It helps me quite a bit when I use them.
I have the Oticon OPN S1 on trial.
I use the high frequency white noise and it's very promising.
I'm surprised this thread hasn't garnered more attention.
Thank you to the OP for suggesting these hearing aids.
