Month 3 and considerably worse off. I'd give anything to go back to June. Every doctor I went to assured me I'd be ok
Honestly what is happening in our ears, how can it be that this would bring that sensation back.
If it's any concession my broken speaker has...
Honestly, why are we getting so much worse @Tau?

@Tau i keep thinking where we would be if we just isolated from the beginning. They all said it was impossible and I should live my life normally....
Unreal I’ve seen some of the best doctors and they’ve all failed me because pain H is so rare. I can’t believe this is actually happening
Keep reapplying. Also, I'm glad your tinnitus is better and moreover although I'm new to this I've learned to much from your posts and am indebted.
My tingling on my face post sound exposure started the day hyperacusis spread to me left ear. There's no doubt a link, interestingly I've never...
@Tau i really really hope it works for you
Sorry to hear @Farida hope you recover
I should have taken prednisone again there was still damage being done
If the brain would just lose that frequency and ignore it, none of us would be here, or even better, if the hair cells could just heal like every...
I don't understand how I have more symptoms 2 months later.
Hi @Ehren M, glad you're feeling better. You got your tinnitus from blowing a whistle?!?! Were you sick by any chance before the incident?
Did the white noise generators lower the reactivity of your reactive tinnitus?
Hi @Hearatable did you have SSHL?
Cause of your acoustic trauma was a baby? @Farida
I pray for regular maskable tinnitus every morning
@Juan given wisdom with respect to pain hyperacusis. Is there any truth that so called mild-moderate cases tend to heal well 1-3 years
Pain Hyperacusis I can't believe this is going to finish my life
I agree. Although behind many other companies I think Decibel Therapeutics has real potential.
Does the squeak sound like basketball players when their shoes are on the court?
@star-affinity i played a high pitch video when my ears were sensitive and I believe I’ve ruined my hearing
God, please let this be true.
6000hz from my iPhone May have ruined my life
I get this vibration sensation. It’s gotten better as of late actually.
My right ear is missing it’s filter
There’s 100% a connection between the two. My left ear started reacting to different tones prior to hyperacusis coming in.
I have this same vibrating it's different than the thumping sensation. I prefer the latter. It accompanies broken speaker distortion.
@Vassili thanks Vassili it does and I know for a fact your post inspires many people including myself. I check it once a week :)
Well a friend of mine figured out how a YouTube video 6000hz could do so much damage: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7151386/
Hmmmm, maybe I have middle ear muscle issues?
Anyone have any ideas?
Did it spread to the other one?
How is it possible that I have Pain Hyperacusis, tinnitus, TTTS and distortions. So much suffering and torment
Was your crackle sensation accompanied by a vibration?
Thanks @Tau the fluttering TTTS is ok actually but I have this weird vibrating broken speaker version. Tensor Tympani is supposed to dampen noise...
Ttts in left ear in silence. Only thing I didn’t end up getting was autophony. Unbelievable
Middle ear is for sure involved, I really feel like my right ear sounds are not being dampened correctly. And when I heard the sound that led to...
Acoustic trauma from iphone speakers not max volume how is this actually happening to me
My right ear really feels like it's missing a shield in contrast to the left ear. Sound just goes right in.
Thanks for your response! Yea that was disheartening I didn’t have any auditory issues then but I’ve read the thread. I just wish I had regular...

@Foamearplugssuck yea the vaccine gave me tinnitus....later on I think it assisted in giving me hyperacusis. What was your experience?
Glad you’re feeling better Darren. I know most of the thread circles around pain hyperacusis but knowing that you’ve escaped makes today a bit better.
The sheer raw tenacity, kindness, empathy and willpower people have in this thread.
Everyone wants to live, just not like this.
Ears and the...
You’re right I just don’t want to disappointed like the fx322 crowd
How are hyperacusis and distortions even real just give me mild hearing loss and regular tinnitus (tongue and cheek but also seriously)
As long as the results are good I don't mind waiting a bit
Hey @Foamearplugssuck sorry you’re dealing with this trash. What set off your noxacusis?
Some kind of nerve damage for sure. What’s odd is both in this thread and another one speaking about broken speakers drugs like Xanax seem to...
