    The Positivity Thread

Hi everyone. I think i'm in my 7th month with my "new tinnitus". The extremely high-pitch sound made me a wreck for a couple of months. January and february has been great months. 99 % of the time I don't "hear" the sound and it doesn't bother or affect me at all. The sound distortion is the...

I Think This Is the End

Hi Nathalie, I'm "suffering" from increased tinnitus since the beginning of august. First weeks I slept for 14 hours/day just to get away from this extremely loud (8/10 in percieved loudness). I cried. I paniced. I heard the noise ALL the time. The tinnitus has not changed (at least I don't...

Tinnitus Pitch Changing Every Second (After Back/Neck Injury)

Hi, First of all - no matter if your T will be permanent or disappear - things will get better sooner or later. Your T sound EXACTLY like mine. Unknown cause, very high pitched sound and warbles in tone for every second. I've had this for 4,5 months now. Some days are good, some days are "ok"...

    Tinnitus... Acoustic Neuroma? I'm Scared

I'm glad your results came out fine! :) Yes, it's like choosing between a hammer in the face or a hard kick to the groin! However, as you said earlier before, it's very unlikely to be AN. I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow and ask what to do next.

    Tinnitus... Acoustic Neuroma? I'm Scared

Ok, interesting! Same situation for me. Had A LOT of ear-infections as a small child and because Agree, but at the same time it doesn't matter. It's not "cancer" because AN is benign. It's only life-threating if it becomes big (that would probably cause more severe symptoms than T). The most...

    Tinnitus... Acoustic Neuroma? I'm Scared

Thanks to both of you! nj78: Is your T/hearing loss also caused by unknown reasons? I know the risk of having AN is very low... But still, the "what if?" is always on my mind. I guess the only way to find out is either to wait and see, or taking the MRI-test.

    Tinnitus... Acoustic Neuroma? I'm Scared

Hi everyone. My tinnitus started in 2000 for unknown reasons. I think it has been stable by the years and i haven't paid it much attention. I think i've got it from ear infections as a small child. I've experienced the T to be inside my head, but always thought it was the right ear that caused...
