    Can Magnesium Cause Increased Tinnitus?

That is very interesting as I've often also had the wakeup less than an hour with the high pitch and anxiety. I don't know the cause. I'm trying to sleep with my chin up not down so my breathing isn't obstructed to see if it makes a difference. I don't think it's the mag because I had stopped...

    Magnesium

New naturopath put me on this one - magnesium citrate with L-taurine. Used to use product called Calm but got tired of drinking it. I found it and chamomile tea and sometimes melatonin help it calm down for sleep. http://hormonerollercoaster.com/store/magnesium-citrate-l-taurine-180-caps-2/

My Tinnitus Is Unbearable and Getting Worse

I've done tons of research and was working on an eBook about it. Yes, it has probably 100 possible causes people suggest. I believe it can be multi-layered, ie. head trauma, plus anxiety, plus leaky gut, overstimulated & burnt out amygdala and/or adrenals, plus this that and the other thing...

Successfully Turned Tinnitus Off with Sleep Control

Do any of you sleep with a dog? I'm training my dog to sleep on the floor now (complex after yrs of sleeping on my bed). She is velcroed to me and another room doesn't work. I found her constant panting, jiggling, or moving around was interrupting my sleep. One day at a time, will see what helps.

Successfully Turned Tinnitus Off with Sleep Control

Something sleep related for me as well. Stiff muscles for years too, esp. after sleeping. Last night I was careful to position my head better. I think if my chin is down, it cuts off my breathing and I get a type of sleep apnea which leads to tinnitus starting. I've never done a sleep study so...

How I Cured My Tinnitus After Years of Constant Ringing in My Ears

So you are suggesting wearing ear plugs in water. How did the water you took in empty? Absorbed eventually? I do have a pool and have noticed it a lot after a shower. Do have the pain in the ear/neck. Guess I'll try the earplugs.

    Definitely Getting Better

I think he/she is on a journey as we all are and that is what he is sharing. Re-read the first part and have some compassion. He/she was a mess as most of us have been.

I Definitely Need Some Help. If Anyone Could Please Help.

So sorry to hear your situation, but I hope it helps you to hear you are not imagining things or alone. You describe a lot of what I went through earlier this year. I think the T is multi-layered. You'll need to address the layers. Here are some suggestions: 1. You need to get the anxiety and...

Please, I Need Your Help. Am I Tapering Benzos Too Fast?

My understanding is Lorazepam is addictive and meant for short-term use. I am not familiar with the other one you mention. My suggestion would be to go through the change over with your doctor's advice perhaps starting a different anti-anxiety drug as you wean off the other.

    Need Help. Please!

My feedback: - Yes, get the ear wax out. Some people's T has gone away after that. - Find a local ear testing place that will test your ears for free (depending on where you live, many give a free consultation). That way you will know if it is hearing related from the music. - Address the...

Here Is How I Solved My Tinnitus — New Protocols and Supplements To Try

I agree with you regarding it being in the "brain" not the mind. The auditory nerves are hearing something. I've learned there have been studies showing muscles give off sound. If they do, then probably a person's fascia, ligaments, and other organs could give off sound. So something is out of...

Here Is How I Solved My Tinnitus — New Protocols and Supplements To Try

Same with me, praying regularly and ready to give my "cure" away when I find it. With one word God can heal. I'm awaiting that.

Here Is How I Solved My Tinnitus — New Protocols and Supplements To Try

Interestingly, I'm currently doing a candida stop program and addressing adrenal fatigue and gut health. I have a neck issue too and the T increases with jaw movement. Anyhow, most holistics say everything starts with the gut. I've suspected the gut as the T has sometimes started or increased...

Help with Neck Injury — Opinions Please

I have had some type of head/neck injury issue. I did hit my head mowing a lawn on the tractor and pull my neck back as well as hit my head with a heavy piece of wood that swung around. I don't know if that's what has caused my neck pain and stiffness and tinnitus or if there is something else...

    Another New Tinnitus Sufferer

Your list of possible contributors sounds as long as mine. The point is, no one really knows the cause. It can be a number of issues compounded together. All you can do is take steps to deal with each and see where you end up. Hire a psycho-therapist to walk through this with you. It will really...

    New Tinnitus Sufferer

"Next morning, Monday after a fairly horrible night with abrupt sleep I had a complete melt down. An intensive melt down with a feeling I have never experienced before...at least not to this extent." Interesting to hear this as this reminds me of my story this past January. The journey for help...

    Off Switch

That finger slapping thing does nothing for me. How about massaging or scratching your head. While I do that I only hear the scratching. Maybe need an invention that walks through your hair so you hear it instead in variable patterns. Anyhow, yes, the self massages I find are helpful. I also...

Intermittent Tinnitus Switched On/Off By Sleep

I have noticed the connection with sleep but I'm sure I also have the somatic kind related to a neck, trapezium, occipital muscle or nerve issue. So is it sleeping position? I have issues where I can wake up with it quiet. I think it had little to do with sleep position. I have times when I...

The Effect of Physiotherapy on Cervicogenic Somatic Tinnitus

I'm pretty sure that's the kind of tinnitus I have. I do heavy garden landscaping. I think lifting things plus heavy computer bad posture have combined to create havoc. Funny thing I noticed a decline in the T when I went to get my hair done and the girl washing it did a great massage. After...

    The Sleep - Tinnitus Connection...

Yes, I believe there may be a sleep connection. Some mornings I awake with none. Other mornings the hiss is right there or starts up shortly. I've taken naps and it disappears. I've also taken a nap on a quiet day and it starts. Trying to figure out if it is neck/brain/shoulder or sleep apnea or...
