I have a 35 dB dip at 6 kHz and if I play a recording of 6 kHz on YouTube, I struggle to hear it. Would that mean my hearing loss is the same as...
Thank you for the reply. I think mine are linked too, the intensity of both fluctuates massively which makes me think it can’t be an “ear injury”...
How long did it take until you got to that point where you could let it go?
Thank you for sharing. How long did it take for you to stop being bothered by it? Best wishes, Michelle
That’s ok it’s not your fault, I was desperate to try anything. I’m glad you’re still getting silence and good days
I’ve tried these for a week, no change at all
Hi @Margrietje Thank you for sharing your story, are you still having silence? I’ve ordered these supplements today
I started using it in July and finished in January. I’m pretty sure it’s permanent now.
Mine is still louder.
I wonder if they will upgrade us Lenire 1 users for free?
I asked about the hyperacusis/super responder link in my last appointment and they said they are not seeing this being replicated in anywhere near...
I began using Lenire in July 2019. I used it exactly as prescribed for the first 12 weeks and didn’t miss a single session. I noticed immediately...
He is one of the people featured in the testimonial videos so I can vouch they are genuine users and not paid actors.
I have been talking to someone who took part in the trial, and had a good improvement, only to have their tinnitus come back again. He’s been...
Temple Bar is an area of Dublin - loads of pubs!
This is such good news @Redknight! Really very very pleased for you! Out of interest what was your THI at the start of treatment and where would...
So theoretically if you’d had a beer or taken headache tablets or were super stressed, anything like that could affect your response?
Was this the case @kelpiemsp that you had to focus your attention on the sounds that were being played?
They also used the TFI in the trials which uses a scale of 1-10 and 1-100 which is more sensitive.
There are more testimonials on their YouTube channel.
This is why.
No one has the device yet so there is nothing to report yet. Also once people start using it it may take many weeks/months for any change to occur...
Perhaps they had to wait to see what uptake would be like before they ordered 100s/1000s of the device to be made? Plus they need time to factor...
Can you get a taxi or the bus?
Padraig just got back to me - his tinnitus came on overnight, no noise damage, he’s had it for 10 years.
Ha! I know! He must be sick of us all.
I messaged Padraig on Facebook - he told me overall he would say he got about a 10% reduction and only noticed a subtle change. He did say though...
I believe @Clearance’s story is totally true. I know lots of people who’ve recovered from tinnitus and now go to concerts etc. without ear...
Thank you for the replies to my question.
If MuteButton/Lenire can silence tinnitus how does this fit in with the theory that tinnitus is caused by hearing loss and the research that’s...
Patricia Lyons in the Neuromod testimonials also got silence from using Lenire.
They used TFI too which might give you a more accurate picture of how much it bothers you and in which situations too.
@DebInAustralia Hi - is there a way I could private message please? Thank you Michelle
You can have a bit of mine for free if you want :D
Thank you very much for this info - I have had no idea at all what’s been going on with it!!
Mine is strange - the hoover or hairdryer doesn’t bother me but the sound of beeping at till checkouts, washing up, tv or someone laughing...
On that one slide it showed the worse the hyperacusis was, the better the response. I think in the interview they said they took people with an...
It might not be a cure but if you’ve got some element of hyperacusis things are looking quite good for you for once! :headphone:
Page 9 of this thread - there’s a PDF attached.
They did use THI, TFI and MML too though. The TFI results would be really interesting to see
They have also got a 10 dB reduction in volume that is clinically significant. I don’t think hearing regeneration is the one-stop-fix-it-all. My...
Things progress, things change, everything is a learning curve. I was a kid in the 80s when AIDS was going to wipe out humanity. There was no cure...
There haven’t been robust clinical trials for most of these. I’ve done TRT and the evidence is mostly anecdotal. They say 80% of people habituate...
I think they are releasing it professionally rather than rushing it out which says a lot about the company. They will have invested a lot of money...
Where did you find this out? I can’t see it on their website?
I rang Neuromod today and asked if they’ve got a release date. They said they haven’t made it public yet but will let people know who have signed...
Have they released how much it will cost? How much is it?
Yes - I was just looking at the presentation slides thinking the same about the plateau effect after 12 weeks. It would make sense that you might...
I wonder if they’ve trialled patients using the device for longer than 12 weeks. Or what happens with doing two blocks of treatment ? Could you...
I wonder if they’ll release it through The Tinnitus Clinic in the UK? Would make sense I guess as they are already established and sell other devices?
Yes - I wonder if getting down to top end of mild would then make it easier to habituate? Maybe the continued reduction in THI scores after...
TDT is their version of TRT, isn’t it? That’s different to the Neuromod device.
Some people have got silence.
Yes, I agree.
They’ve given a spread of patient responses which probably reflects the spectrum of results they got. @Clare B got total silence but she wasn't...
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply @Dginobile. The last week or so I’m starting to get times where I realise I haven’t noticed it for...
Wow. This group has reached another level of venom and nastiness. I don’t blame him for bailing out.
@Dginobile thats great to hear! So it’s no longer a problem for you? Did it take you 18 months too? I’m at 7 months and struggling x
@JohnAdams By that definition you’re not fully habituated then yet? On your way though? I have friends who have it and it never bothers them,...
He’s lost his leg so he could actually do all of the things you listed
