If one has profound hearing loss in the >4 kHz ranges, but only mild to severe hearing loss in the <4 kHz ranges, will FX-322 work for the <4 kHz ranges, assuming they can deliver the drug?

I wonder if it would it depend on if you were having an episode though as Meniere's tends to be episodic doesn't it? So if you were able to get the treatment at a time when fluid retention was at a minimum I suppose the drug could do its thing still.

I'm hopeful. People here might be right that it might not help for congenital but they aren't docs and they don't know for sure. When the time comes you and your doc can discuss whether or not it would be useful. I would surmise that it could still work under certain scenarios... and not work...

In my case, they think it was from birth but I also had a few ear infections as an infant but I don't think that they said that was the cause (although they didn't necessarily rule it out)...
