    I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

    I couldn't listen to it for more than a few seconds. I don't know how anyone could fall asleep listening to it for 3 weeks. Something just isn't right here, sorry Dave, but I cannot imagine listening to it for 10 seconds let alone all night for three weeks.

    Effexor is an anxiolytic so I am presuming it's being prescribed to deal with the anxiety around having tinnitus. I had a bad experience with Effexor after taking it for numerous years. I have also read that it can cause tinnitus and I believe it has something to do with my current tinnitus...

    Effexor XR — Tinnitus Doubled in Loudness — Are the Ototoxic Effects Permanent?

    I took Effexor XR for a number of years and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I have had nothing but bad experiences and long lasting side effects with pharmaceuticals. I weened myself down to the lowest dosage for 6 months before going off of it, and I had the brain zaps for 3 months following.
