Well, as far as I have understood, Frequency Therapeutics had only patients with massive hearing loss in their trial, whereas REGAIN tested their drug in people with mild to moderate hearing loss. That's a difference of the research/treatment... Or do I interpret it wrong?

Don't forget the number of people who potentially need this cure (young people who are heavy headphone users, who attend loud parties, go to loud concerts, etc. and also people who have had a sudden hearing loss).

I agree with that. But it is impressing that the initial test with the drug seemed to be so successful that even with a low (safety) dosage they experienced improvements in hearing! With regards to tinnitus, we will see, because people without hearing loss also have tinnitus... But maybe the...

I would say that after the treatment they test the hearing with an audiogram and word scoring. That's what they did in the first trial and found out improvements in hearing.

Well... the injection itself takes seconds, then one has to lie down and wait a specific period of time to allow the drug to go into the cochlea. But this can be done while lying outside of the doctor's room, and the doctor can see another patient in the meanwhile. And here in Germany the ENT...

The IT injection itself is quick to do and doctors have been using this method for years (here in Europe). But it needs time to diffuse the FX-322 through the round window into the cochlea. Maybe 30-60 minutes. But... That's OK if it works! I am really interested what Frequency Therapeutics will...

I agree with John. The intratympanic injection has been in use for years and it works fine. Why should they use something with magnetism when the diffusion through the round window is a tested and effective method? And... I don't want to have something "magnetic" in my ear...

To be optimistic it's nice to see that both projects seems to have the same results. Frequency Therapeutics wants to present their results at a big conference if I understood their latest update correctly. Does anyone here know which conference that is?
