300mg per day in the morning
Or i might have just improved naturally... it is hard to say...
The pain was always there, with or without exposure to sound. Gabapentin seemed to help with the stabbing and aching & burning pain.
I stopped Gabapentin last September and the situation has been unchanged.
The only pain that remains is inside the ear if I put anything in contact with the ear canal (eg: ear plugs).
Hi Lucifer, yes I had exactly what you just described. I had permanent pain in my left that would get worse after any kind of loud exposure....
It reduced but it has not gone away. Hyperacusis is gone 99%.
Keep us posted Kam!
Mirtazapine can damage the optic nerve, so if you intend to use it long term it might be a good idea to get your eyes checked for Glaucoma.
While I am not a metal head, I remember being quite impressed by Angel Dust when it was released in 1992. A Small Victory is a brilliant single :)

Welcome to you Dr. Orloff! I never thought I would meet a fellow Jess Franco fan on here!
Hi, yes it is much better. I am only taking 300mg a day and it has made a lot of difference.
I am pretty much deaf after 8500 Hz. I am 45 and have a long history of hearing damage through music and various other incidents.
Thanks for the answer @FGG, you made my day.
I finally did my Acouphenometrie HD or whatever it is called and as expected I have some serious hearing loss from 8 kHz onwards. They recommended...
Honestly I can't advise you as we all seem to react differently to Lenire. All I can say is that right now I am feeling really good with the...
PS2 did not do anything for me. I am now doing quite well since I have been back on PS1.
My hyperacusis has never been better. I have just had several days of no pain whatsoever, only a slight discomfort in my left ear when I wake up...
I have mild hyperacusis in my left ear and Lenire has not made it worse.
That's a possibility but I am taking a rather low dose (200mg).
Prior to my worsening a 2 or 3. Now it can be as bad as 8 when I hear it everywhere.
I used it for 12 weeks from December to February. The second settings kind of undid the progress I made while on the first settings. Then I got...
Hi Dave, To be clear, I did not use Lenire on Monday because I just wanted to head straight to bed after work and sleep the tinnitus off. I was...

Both. The pain is not gone but things are improving even though my left can still hurt completely randomly.
My hyperacusis is better no doubt about it. There are still times where it comes out of nowhere without any kind of reason (no loud noise...

Honestly it is hard to say as everyone seems to react differently to Lenire. All I can say is when I've had moderate spikes over the last 6...
Twice a day in a row.
There is definitely some white noise in PS1.
I have a bit of hearing loss and I am on PS1 (white noise & piano).
Another day of very low tinnitus. Like @hans799 I don't want to jinx it but surely this reduction can only be attributed to Lenire.
I think they are, providing you don't "dis-improve" them with the wrong settings!
Here is my latest hearing test. I would add that I don't seem to hear much above 9kHz. Remember I have had 3 acoustic traumas (as well as too many...

35 dB at 8000 Hz then it goes downhill... I can't hear anything above 9-10 kHz. I am 45.
Significant improvement of my tinnitus in just 5 days. It's been two days in a row where it is hardly noticeable when I am outside. So glad I am...

My device has just safely returned :)
I did not make any further progress with the 2nd settings. Because of the coronavirus I was not able to travel to Dublin and I decided to stop...
I think they considered it but since you have to do a hearing test it looks unlikely. But never say never.
I had my 3rd review online with Neuromod on Tuesday. They organised for a courier (at their expense) to collect my device (which arrived in...
10 or 15 years? That is quite a pessimistic view. I am pretty sure it will be available before that.
It looks like it.
So true. I get a lot more sympathy when I mention that I suffer from cluster headaches than when I mention my tinnitus. But if I had to choose,...
