Recent Chinese Study on Spontaneous Decrease in Tinnitus

Hi Jack, Would you say that caffeine, sugar and NSAIDs truly lead to tinnitus worsening? Or high blood pressure? This is the wisdom from many online sites like WebMD - but I hope to know what everyone else thinks.

Spontaneous Recovery Stats: Many Recover (3 Studies)

This is the same feeling that I go through. I think about my nephews and my family that relies on me. I live for them now. Focusing on others helps me forget about the relentlessness of tinnitus.

Best ENTs and Audiologists for Tinnitus in New York City (NYC)?

Hi Folks, I've been posting a lot while I'm still in the "golden window" of the first 3 months of my tinnitus. I am unsatisfied with my ENT in Flushing, Queens. I want to make an appointment with a good ENT or audiologist before the governor locks down the subways. Can anyone point me to a...

What Percentage of Tinnitus Cases Are Permanent?

I guess the million dollar question is: what is an appropriate dose of prednisone? They used to pump me full of prednisone at work (commercial fishing). Crazy amounts. When my ENT prescribed 5mg I had to laugh.

What Percentage of Tinnitus Cases Are Permanent?

Hi Jack, I went to the ENT and he gave me an extremely low dose of prednisone. 5mg twice a day. I don't think that will do the trick. I also got Xanax. I don't want to waste the "golden window" phase that you spoke of. My ENT is a very stoic, aloof guy who never truly answers my questions.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Hi Folks, I am new to the Lenire thread (and tinnitus in general). Would someone be kind enough to let me know: 1. When will Lenire be available in the United States? 2. Is the general consensus that it is a godsend treatment? If Americans must go to Ireland for treatment why not go as a...

What Percentage of Tinnitus Cases Are Permanent?

Thanks a lot. This is the most promising scenario yet. Aside from prednisone, what are some of the other time sensitive treatments? FYI: I just rescheduled for an earlier appointment with my ENT. It's tomorrow now. I will ask him for a prednisone treatment. What else can I ask for?

What Percentage of Tinnitus Cases Are Permanent?

Hi Michael, I was sensitive to sound (like other people on cell phones, airplanes, intrusive technology) long before the tinnitus set in. Is the noise sensitivity a precursor to tinnitus? I am in hell right now. The ringing is non stop. My sister gave me some old kolonopin and still no...

What Percentage of Tinnitus Cases Are Permanent?

Quick question: how did you verify that it was the neck and ETD causing the tinnitus? Could physical therapy for the neck help? I also have ETD (I think). Constant drainage. But I am more hopeful about getting my neck fixed and seeing if that isn't the problem.

What Percentage of Tinnitus Cases Are Permanent?

Hi everyone, I've had tinnitus for about 1.5 weeks. It came on suddenly sitting in Central Park. It isn't awful, but it is a constant annoyance. It's like I just got back from a loud concert. It's a low, but bothersome ringing. I only have medicaid and the level of care that I will likely...
