10 days until my surgery. Trying not to be pessimistic about it, but also don’t want to get my hopes up either. Hard to balance it!!
Your story sounds similar to mine, although I don’t think my tinnitus is reactive (but certain sounds cause distortion - I hear a Morse code...
Any good vibes would be appreciated. My PT bothers me more than my T. It would be a relief to finally get this cured after 2 surgeries
Not super hopeful it’ll work as prior testing indicated it might not, but it’s my last option. After this, if it doesn’t work, that’s it :,(
Having another surgery for my PT on April 30th. Stent & coils being placed in my jugular bulb diverticulum. Another overnight ICU stay too
My boyfriend… or I guess ex-boyfriend helped me through some of the hardest times with my tinnitus. Now he’s gone. I miss him so much
Going through some grief right now while also having tinnitus. It’s hard. Hang in there :,)
Another night up past 5am crying, throwing up from crying so hard, and listening to my ears scream all at the same time. Yayyy breakups!
Going through a breakup while having tinnitus and BPD… I’m not sure if there is a worse combo. 5:30am and still no sleep. Wish me luck :,)
Maybe it’s not “worse”, but some tones that seemed to have lessened or gone away are back. Kinda stressing about it.
I had a bit too much to drink Friday night, woke up Saturday hungover, T was worse. But it still hasn’t gone back down. Did I fuck up?
@Marshall It hasn’t settled for me yet. How long does it usually take for you?
Does your tinnitus get worse when you’re hungover? And does it settle back down?
@HearingHell Hey! I actually just left a comment about that on @BB23 page if you want to read that. But TL;DR, yes for the most part it has. I...
I’m not sure if this will be of any hope or not, but for the most part my TTTS has settled. I’m actually having a bit of a flare up right now,...
That’s so great to hear! <3
Hey everyone, hope you’re all hanging in there. I’m trying my best. Nothing has changed for me symptom/sound wise, but I am coping better!
@sakrt The angiogram showed a small aneurysm but nothing to be concerned about. I had a balloon occlusion test done in my jugular because I have a...
I did! I was stented because I had Venous Sinus Stenosis. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me in regards to getting rid of the sound. I had more...
@tpj I’m okay, my groin is just super sore where they went in. And I’m pretty devastated that the balloon occlusion didn’t yield positive results,...
@sakrt I’m not sure, but I’m wondering if maybe it was more painful because they’re going through the arteries instead of the veins. But I’m not...
@sakrt And the pain when they take the catheter out & have to mess with the artery, close it up, etc was unbearable :,) The whole thing lasted...
@sakrt It was painful because they have to make an incision in an artery in the groin, & then thread a catheter w/ a camera all the way up into...
@sakrt I’ve had an MRI, CTA, CTV, cerebral venogram, and then the cerebral angiogram. The cerebral angiogram was to get a more detailed look at...
(2/2) Balloon occlusion test in the diverticulum didn’t alleviate my PT so we are unsure if a coil would fix it :( I’m at a loss
(1/2) Cerebral angiogram today… SO painful. Diagnosed with jugular bulb diverticulum and a small aneurysm… :,)
I love minecraft! I’ve been playing it every day for like 2 months now :P It’s a good distraction
23 here
I really hope 2024 is a better year for me, especially medically. I hope it’s a better year for all of us.
@DimLeb Yes, the spasms in response to sound and my own voice. I had it for a good 4-5 months earlier this year, but as the year went on I had...
Happy Holidays! My TTTS is still here & is really bad today :( Scared it’ll never go away again… but it has before, so odds are good, right?
I’ve been sick with a virus 2 different times in the past 2 months, and I took it both times. Didn’t seem to bother my T
My TTTS is still bothering me. Really hope it settles again
I’m finally getting over this sickness, still have a few lingering symptoms. But my anxiety has just stayed high the whole time :(
The comparison game isn’t fair and also isn’t going to help anybody’s mental health or suffering in any way. People suffer from horrible ailments...
@cjbhab I would say a big # of them are as bad, some far worse. For ex, I found out abt a condition called epidermolysis bullosa. Majority of the...
@cjbhab Many people with an acute health problem can go to a doctor and have it fixed, yes. Chronic is another story.
Many ppl are chronically ill. I am & have been long before I got tinnitus. You’d never know by looking at me bc it’s an “invisible” illness. Much...
Why do I have to be sick AND listen to this shit??? Pick a struggle please
Because I’m on aspirin & blood thinners, I can’t take Nyquil/any other flu meds, not even ibuprofen. I literally just have to sweat it out
@tpj Thank you <3
@Joe Cuber @Juliane Thank you, I hope so too!! I’m miserable. @gameover It’s certainly not fun, that’s for sure
@kingsfan Somehow I have all of the symptoms except the respiratory ones. Vomiting, fever, violent uncontrollable cold sweats/shaking/chills,...
This flu is no joke. I can’t remember a time I felt this bad, and my pain tolerance is high. Thankfully it’s not covid but damn I’m in hell
I think I have the flu or something, I honestly feel like death. I know I will likely be more aware of my T when I am not feeling well :,(
TTTS back with a vengeance today. Hoping it settles back down again soon. :/
@Viridiana It’s good that you’re trying to stay positive. It’s hard to do…
@Viridiana Trying to hang in there. Yesterday was my 1 year tinnitus anniversary which sucks. I think what I’ve been going thru the past few weeks...
Today is officially 1 year with T. It’s actually much worse than it was when it first started, by a lot. Lucky me.
@Viridiana I have no idea what caused it, it randomly started out of nowhere. I don’t cope very well, it’s all still pretty new to me since I’m in...
@Viridiana Not great at the moment, I keep getting new tones on top of my existing ones every few months. Tomorrow (Dec 4th) will be a year since...
@DimLeb I’ve been having a new tone for a week now so I’m not sure if it’s a spike or not, but I hope it is
Living w/ borderline personality disorder & tinnitus is no fun. BPD = extreme emotions, T = anxiety/depression… I get xtra strength versions
If you’ve had a tinnitus spike that eventually subsided, how long did it last?
I have a tone like this in my left ear. Sounds like dial up internet or a fax machine
It might be time for me to end it
I don’t know how to keep going
I don’t think I’m going to get through this this time
@BrOKeN_1 The pitch of my static is so high that I can hear it over pretty much everything. It still bothers me sometimes, all of my many T sounds...
I much prefer my static/hissing sound over the EEEEEE. EEEEE, plEEEEEEase go away :)
