About 30 Hours of Flying Coming Up — What Precautions Should I Take with Tinnitus & Hyperacusis?

Oh ok, no I don't think I can do that. Maybe I will just wear some noise cancelling headphones during take off and then put in my foam plugs. I don't have hyperacusis, I just don't want to take any risk:) Thanks for the advice.

About 30 Hours of Flying Coming Up — What Precautions Should I Take with Tinnitus & Hyperacusis?

I think some people wrote that it could cause barotrauma, but I could be wrong, I just kind of remembered that one should not wear plugs during takeoff and landing. By manually controlling you mean pop them open by blowing my nose? If so then yes, I can do that. I also will take some gum with me.

About 30 Hours of Flying Coming Up — What Precautions Should I Take with Tinnitus & Hyperacusis?

Also earplugs during takeoff? I am quite scared since some people say that can cause problems. I will probably fly with smaller Boeing, since it is just 2-3 hours.

@JohnAdams What did you end up using during the flight? And during take off? I also have a flight in three weeks.
