Looks like when I was sick at the beginning of last month I sustained some nerve damage in my ear, leading to the NEW ringing in my left ear. Life is great.

My grandma died recently, everyday she laid in bed crying because of how loud her T was and she couldn't stand it anymore. I'm 20 and I already feel that's what I have to look forward to.

what kind of sickness did you have, and how do you know you have nerve damage?

Damaged nerves do heal. Getting permanent hearing damage from an illness isn't very common AFAIK.
