      Hi,

Not sure if this is part of the road to habituation, but I noticed last night in bed whilst listening to the tinnitus, that I had a short period where I slowed down my breathing a lot and the tinnitus really reduced to a very quiet distant version of the tones I get. Obviously I don't want to slow my breathing down too much!, but just found this interesting. If I could get this result permanently it would be great. Was probably a 1-2 out of 10 for the period in question.

You should definitely experiment more and read about different breathing techniques which are often used in mediation. Proper breathing relaxes your body and mind and thus can of course lower tinnitus.

Slow breathing for 10 minutes 3 times a day reduces your blood pressure and relaxes you. Hopefully it will reduce tinnitus.

I did this once the first week I had tinnitus and it worked. Actually took me to silence. Didn’t last but a few minutes and has never worked since.
