Hi. About 2 years ago I was prescribed citalopram for anxiety. At the time I had tinnitus but it's got far worse.
I'm wondering if it's the medication that's made it worse, and whether anyone has stopped taking antidepressants and seen an improvement?
I've decided to try & wean myself off the citalopram. I also have hearing aids now but I feel that if my tinnitus went I'd be able to hear better, if that makes sense.
My tinnitus is a constant high pitched sound, and this is where I struggle with hearing. It's not always been this bad, and I can't really pinpoint when it started. Possibly loud music from clubbing when I was younger.
