I have wondered since I have been in stressful situations lately, not only my ears, stress can cause tinnitus but how does stress influence your healing process?

Does stress make you heal slower? Or can it have a long term affect on T recovery?

Before my T I lost a family member whic was my last one of the oldest generation out of the blue and there is a tug of war between "family" members (not people I talk to daily but they're annoying as hell).

And now my father is sick (after T) causing stress yet again and I received another sound last week. Which also causes stress.

It are things that I cannot evade though.

I also don't feel comfortable in the gym because of the loud music so I didn't go much anymore.

Now I'm starting a new "hobby" which is cycling this week.

But I started to wonder, is this stress blocking my progress (I guess so), or is stress so dangerous that it could effect long term damage to my ears in case they were noise induced? Or does it mean that it could recover but slower? Is it too late if I'm 9/10 weeks in?

It seems there are a number of people who got T during times of grief (my husband had passed away suddenly). I was also further under extreme stress because my mom became sick a couple years later and I was her caregiver. The T settled down all during that though. It was there but mostly at night and not really something that bothered me. However I don't think stress helps anything. Or else eventually you just adapt to the stress.
