Acoustic trauma
My little 11 years old pet had teeth cleaning at the veterinary and now he cannot hear anymore:(.

Besides ruining me I ruined my little dog :(. How is it possible?

The doctor said he makes very often teeth cleaning and the deafness is uncorrelated to the operation.

Confused.

Are you sure this is what happened? It might be possible, but it seems highly unlikely that your dog went from hearing to completely deaf in one (routinely applied?) procedure. I'm guessing that things will be okay, if not now, then in a couple of days.

How long did it take and how loud was it? How do you know your dog in now deaf?

I know my dog is deaf bec he is used to follow my voice, consider that before what happen I went out with my pet without collar because he listen my command! Now he is deaf :(.
Couple of days passed and he is like he was after the surgery, they made anestesia but I suppose he lost the hearing due to ultrasound noise.
Is it possible it happen only to my pet?
I feel sad bec I had a bad feeling before doing it :(

Your dog didn't go deaf. He's probably just still messed up from coming off the drugs.

Honestly this is seriously retarded.

Does he only not respond to your commands? Or doesn't he respond to any sound? Another person, other dogs, tv, squeaky toys, ...?

To be honest, I'm not an expert on dogs. You might want to ask this on a forum for dogs, or better yet, call the vet. I'm guessing total deafness can easily be ruled out or confirmed with some simple test. Call a different vet if you have a bad feeling about the last one.
It may indeed be the anesthetic, or possibly a ruptured eardrum somehow. Both which he will recover from.

No, it's not. Someone's in distress about their pet. Those feelings are real. Let's try to help them :)
