These guys do livestreams of speedruns of games on twitch. I personally find the Halo speedruns to be quite entertaining. Just by livestreaming people beating video games really fast, they raised over 1.3 million dollars for Doctors Without Borders this summer! Next year the charity will be the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Perhaps something like this would raise awareness and gather money quick. I would suspect that video game players would be especially attuned to this since a lot of them play with gaming headsets.
