Will be getting a filling replaced tomorrow. Any recommendations from people with experiences? Last time I went to the dentist just the high pressure thing they used to clean my teeth gave me a spike for a couple days but am super worried about the drilling.

From what I've gathered, ear plugs will only amplify the sound inside my ear so won't use those. I also plan on taking some magnesium and NAC supplements beforehand. Any other advice? Anyone have bad experiences?

- no plugs
- ask for breaks (10 seconds drilling / 5 seconds break, etc)
- magnesium and NAC, yes, good idea
- and first : tell your dentist about your condition, you have to make sure he understands

Thanks. Any ideas on how much MG and NAC to take? I have 200mg pills of magnesium and 500mg pills of NAC.

I take 600mg Nac (one capsule per day) and 400mg magnesium Glycinate (one per day too). But I know some people take a lot more.

You could use up to 2000 mg NAC for exceptional cases like these, won't do any harm. Read an article of a doctor mentioning that it gets dangerous at 5000-6000 mg.
