- Cause of Tinnitus
- High frequency hearing loss and lifetime noise exposure
Not sure where this fits but I had to put it somewhere. I have unlimited time and ability to search and read just about everything that's been written about tinnitus over the last couple years but this is a new one on me.
Among all the known assaults I have subjected my ears to I also played quite a bit of golf.
I just read that the ping sound that your driver makes when teeing off is almost supersonic and can run well in excess of 100 - 110db and can lead to loss of hearing.
Just thought I would share this. I can't imagine playing golf with ear muffs but maybe this can help someone who can't figure out what could be causing a spike in the absence of other loud noises.
Makes me wonder are there other hidden hazardous sources of noise that you wouldn't think could ba a problem.
