Hi my name is Maria and I am 16 years old last March I was diagnosed with hearing loss and tinnitus. I currently live in México where there’s little to no treatment. I feel like I am losing my mind being that form hearing it once a month it became once a week, then once a day , it came to the point where’s it’s all day and my only escape was when I slept. But sadly the sound found me and now I am losing my mind. I have to go to high school like nothing is happening and I just want someone else to hear it too

Welcome to the forum. I have empathy for you being so young with tinnitus. But it is quite common these days for young folks to develop tinnitus. Don't panic nor despair. Better days will come. Young people often are more adaptable and can recover faster than older folks. In the forum success stories, you can meet many young people who struggled initially and then they recover. Here are some samples of their success stories. Take it easy. God bless.
