Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing as well as possible today, given the circumstances we are each facing.
Great news, a powerful new tinnitus and hyperacusis success story!
Maria from Sweden was a very severe case of pain hyperacusis and reactive tinnitus, with virtually no quality of life. She could not leave her home and could barely whisper to her children without experiencing intense pain in her ears, head, throat, and skull. Her symptoms began in 2021, following complications after a C-section. She was prescribed several medications that are ototoxic and known to cause bruxism, which further affected her auditory system. Nine years earlier, she had also suffered a hard fall on the side of her head, which she believes may have contributed to her condition.
Maria fought incredibly hard for her life. She underwent two surgeries for Eagle's Syndrome, received a Stellate Ganglion Nerve Block, had her upper right wisdom tooth removed, and was prescribed the medication Clomipramine.
Today, Maria no longer experiences pain in her ears from sound, and her tinnitus no longer reacts to noise. What a blessing. She still has TMJD, and when she moves her jaw, she feels some pain and slight tinnitus, but that is all.
Thanks to everything she did in combination, she is now living a normal life again. From the unbearable pain of whispering to enjoying restaurants, outdoor activities, and time with her family, Maria's transformation is truly a success.
Click the link to read her full story. Hopefully, it will help anyone suffering from these difficult conditions. At the very least, it serves as inspiration for all of us to keep going, to keep fighting like Maria did, because one day, we just might get better too.
