My ear that was infected that caused my tinnitus has developed PET. I don't know if I had it before, or it has developed by losing a significant amount of weight (I have) or that constant natural reflex of trying to "open" my ear due to it feeling clogged has caused the PET but I clearly have it in the affected ear.
When I did a search of symptoms of PET, one of them is tinnitus itself. What I'm trying to understand is how the medical field has determined that PET alone can cause tinnitus. How so? I mean having a fully open Eustachian tube always keeps the pressure equalized so the inner ear is less prone to pressure changes which is better than a pressure difference so how does this cause tinnitus exactly? Anyone know the reason because I'm curious as hell since maybe if it makes sense and I train myself to stop reflexing my Eustachian tubes, it could have a positive affect on my tinnitus.
