A few weeks ago, I was playing music and tinnitus pure tones over my car stereo. The volume needed for the pure tones was much lower than what I needed to hear the music. I switched from the music back the pure tones but was 5 notches louder than I should have been. As a result, I briefly blasted a very loud, ear piercing tone into my ear at high intensity for a few seconds.
I do not know if this worsened my tinnitus or caused more hearing loss and am honestly scared to know. All I know is this condition drives me fucking crazy and I'm worried that one event gave me more hearing loss and more tinnitus.
